Bicycle Infrastructure Tour of York City – Saturday, July 29 10:00 a.m.

Free! Register by July 22 at https://events.eventzilla.net/e/bicycle-infrastructure-tour-york-pa-2138587742

Come see the infrastructure improvements that are making York City more bike and pedestrian friendly. The guided tour will be 8.5 miles long, but while you are here, take some time to enjoy the beautiful 21 mile York Heritage Rail Trail which goes right through the historic downtown area and all the way to the Maryland border. This trail has a crushed limestone surface which is suitable for road and trail-type bikes. The Northern Central Railway https://www.northerncentralrailway.com/ offers bike and passenger transport from certain trailheads for those who want to enjoy a train ride one way and a bike ride the other.

The infrastructure tour will begin at the York Heritage Trailhead near where Route 30 crosses over the Codorus Creek. Address: 1000 Louck’s Mill Road, York PA.

Our tour guide is Ben Dinkel, Planner, York County Planning Commission.
